Chocolate Adventures 2021!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownie Bars

    • base:

      • Ghirardelli ccc mix and dark chocolate brownie mix.

      • Baked a thin layer in an 8x8 pan and a thicker layer in a 5x5 aluminum construct

        • The thinner layer seemed better

    • toppings:

      • Kirkland brand chocolate

      • Almonds crushed with a ladel

      • Oreo cookies

CCC Brownie Chocolates

    • base:

      • Ghirardelli ccc mix and dark chocolate brownie mix.

    • toppings:

      • Kirkland brand chocolate

      • Almonds crushed with a ladel

      • Oreo cookies

    • construction:

      • Dipped flowers (My favorite):

        • CCC Brownie stuffed into flower molds and frozen for an hour.

        • chocolate melted in double boiler

        • frozen stuff popped out and dipped into melted chocolate

        • Topped with toppings

      • Molded flowers:

        • CCC Brownie rolled into small balls and left to cool

        • Chocolate melted in double boiler, then spooned into molds, filled halfway

        • small balls pressed into still-liquid chocolate

        • capped with more chocolate

        • fridged for a while then popped out.

Problems encountered:

  • Chocolate is only meh in my opinion. Perhaps need higher quality chocolate/darker chocolate, because it was very sweet.

  • The dipped flowers were a bit hard to get off the dipping stick. imo, their chocolate: base ratio is the best.

  • Overall, pretty smooth. Not as ambitious as last year, but the outcome is more aesthetically pleasing and I think the taste is better.

  • The chocolates are still too big. I think I want to try making mini ones next year.
